Our little reader….One of the things that is super important to Sven and I is that we want our children to love reading as much as we do. We figured there might be a little of the love in our DNA, but we wanted to make sure that we did everything we could to continue to instill the love of reading. We have been reading to Serevina since the very beginning and she LOVES books. She will point to the bookshelf and get very excited. She pulls books out of her bins and off her shelves. In the last couple weeks she has started “reading” to herself. For a while now she would look at books and turn the pages. But now we find her flipping through the pages and talking as she does it. It makes me so happy to see her reading already! We are sticking to board books for now, because she loves getting to turn the pages and she is a little too rough for regular paperbacks right now. I am very much looking forward to our journey through books in the years to come.
