The Bean's due date, according to the doctors, was Friday, March 18th. Here it is Sunday and she seems perfectly happy hanging out for now. I'm still feeling pretty good, not too uncomfortable.
Friday was my last day of work, it was easier than I was expecting. We had crazy weather and a short day, both of which I think helped me from getting too emotional.
Yesterday we slept in - figuring we should take advantage of any extra sleep we can get before she arrives. After pancakes we worked in the office for a couple hours. Then I went back up to school to clean out one last load of things. I left my desk all set and ready to go for Amy, my wonderful sub. It's very weird to think that I have no idea when I will be going back! After I met Amber, a Zeta friend from Texas who now lives in San Jose, for pedicures! I departed from my normal Diva in Geneva color and went with a red sparkly color. Ran a few errands and then it was home to hang out!
Today Sven is working on his PhD and I was supposed to be continuing to organize all my stuff in the office, but I have been procrastinating by doing other things. But my goal is to get it organized and then to get to work on making Thank You cards. Later we plan on running down the hill to Buy, Buy, Baby to look at gliders for the bean's room, Home Depot for new lights for the bean's room, and Costco for paper towels!
The bean is still very active, kicking and hiccuping to make sure I know she's still there. We are very excited to meet her, but we are okay with her waiting a couple more days to make her appearance! We know we are on borrowed time, but it will be nice to get some stuff done before she comes!
