How far along? 13 weeks

Total Weight Gain? None yet!  I hope I have been doing enough walking this week, because we have had some fabulous food!

Maternity Clothes? Some tops and my new Old Navy bathing suit

Stretch Marks?  They are still there from Serevina

Sleep? Not too bad, the hotel bed is much smaller than our fabulous bed at home, so I am looking forward to getting home and sleeping in our bed.

Best moment this week?  Telling Gigi’s cousin Sue about you and going to the Bronx Zoo with Daddy for Google’s NYC picnic

Food Cravings? Salt bagels

Anything making you sick?  The smell of garbage, Serevina’s dirty diapers, cigarette smoke – way too many smokers in NYC, not eating every couple hours

Gender? Don't know yet!

Movement? Not yet!

Labor Signs? Nada!

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody?  Happy! 

Looking forward to? Going to Coney Island tomorrow with Auntie, Courtney, and Derek

Dear baby,

            It is fun getting to tell more and more people about your impending arrival.  We are trying to tell as many people as we can in person, but sometimes we have to resort to phone and email!  But however we tell them it is fun getting to share the joy with our family and friends.

Sleep? Not great, missing our bed at home!  The red-eye really screwed up my sleeping schedule

Best moment this week?  Telling Great-Grandma Dot and Great-Grandpa Dick about you

Looking forward to? Spending the weekend with Aunt Jacinda and Uncle Dan and your cousins, meeting up with Gigi’s cousin Sue, and heading to NYC to see Auntie Amber

Dear baby,

            Starting to feel a little bit better.  I still never know what is going to set my tummy off.  But I am having more days of feeling pretty good than not, so that is good.  I’m excited that we are going to see you in an ultrasound the week we get back from NYC.  I was finally able to make the appointment and I’m excited that we know when we get to see you again.

Sleep? It has been warm on and off and I don’t sleep well when it is hot

Best moment this week?  Having Serevina wear her “Big Sister” shirt to book club to announce our happy news

Food Cravings? Having trouble because I’m not craving and nothing sounds good.

            Hoping the “morning sickness” abates soon.  I’m looking forward to telling your great-grandparents about your February due date this coming week.  They will be very excited!!

Giant Sequoias

Giant Sequoias

We took Mémé and Pépé up to the Giant Sequoias and Sven carried Serevina around in the Kelty for the first time.  We all had a great time looking at the trees and hiking the trails. 

 

Serevina got hungry along the way and enjoyed her cheddar bunnies and ended up with some chipmunk cheeks!

Sleep? Serevina doesn’t sleep great when we aren’t at home so her restlessness doesn’t make it easy for me to sleep, also we had a hard time cooling down our room some nights

Best moment this week?  4^th of July watching Serevina play with bean bags at the Wawona 4^th of July festivities and then having Mémé and Pépé join us

            Looking forward to having you in Yosemite with us next year!  We keep talking about how we can’t believe that next year we are going to have another little one with us next year.  I wonder if you will love the pool as much as your big sister does!

Lunch at the Ahwanhnee

Lunch at the Ahwanhnee

Sven, Mémé, and Pépé needed to do a training ride, so Serevina and I tagged along to the valley floor and went for a hike to Yosemite Falls. 

  

After we had a wonderful lunch at the Ahwanhee, where they served Serevina her milk in the cutest little teacup.  She loved drinking out of it.

 

She wore the same dress Amaya wore when she was at the Ahwanhee for our wedding!

 

After a nap in the car on the way back to Wawona Serevina was ready to caddy on the golf course!

 

4th of July!

4^th of July!

We had a wonderful time celebrating the 4^th of July.  Wawona has great 4^th of July celebration with games, prizes, and lots of red, white, and blue! 

 Serevina had fun playing with the bean bag game and made some new friends! 

 There were some older girls that loved Serevina and kept asking to hold her, she enjoyed playing with them…till she was ready for a nap!

 

 

Sven kicked butt at the potato sack races.

 

Serevina had a great time hanging out with Robin.

After her nap Serevina enjoyed her first ice cream cone by the pool!

Meadow Loop

One of our favorite things to do at Wawona is the Meadow Loop.  It is a nice 3.5 mile trail that has some mild ups and downs.  It starts by the golf course and then meanders around the meadow and then back up behind the hotel.  It was a little warm when we did it Sunday morning, but not too bad.  Sven had to do an hour run so I decided to talk with Serevina around the route while he went around and then doubled back.  Serevina brought along her “Auntie Amber” doll that Amber gave her for her 1^st birthday.  It was a lovely walk and I am looking forward to doing it a couple more times while we are here!
